Nice beds, but poor breakfast and coffee

The beds were very nice, some of the best hotel beds I tried. But the breakfast experience was not pleasant. The room was far too noisy. The staff seemed preoccupied. There weren’t many food options that I was comfortable with, as most of it was Indian style. For a hotel of this caliber, I expected a wider variety of choices similar to those offered by European hotels. The organization was peculiar, making it difficult to locate plates and cutlery. I particularly missed having some good bread, and worst of all, the coffee was terrible. The last time I stayed in Chennai, I stayed in a less expensive hotel where the breakfast was much better, and they offered various types of excellent coffee. That will be my choice next time.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip, highlights for me were the staff who were so helpful and hospitable. The room was very spacious, had a fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. Everything was also very clean and well maintained. Really couldn’t fault it and I slept fantastically. We had breakfast daily and dinner there once, this was a buffet style but required service for hot drinks/alcohol. The selection of food was good on all occasions. It was reasonably busy and they appeared to be understaffed, so service could have been better, a few times drinks were forgot or took a very long time to come. A lot of the food in the buffet (especially at breakfast) was left uncovered and on 1 day there was a lot of flies on the food which I found off putting, it didn’t appear to be a problem on the other 3 days, so possibly a one off. Overall if I were travelling on business to Chennai again I would stay here and would recommend to others too

The best experience we had at the hotel. Room and all facilities are top notch. Well located. The personnel of Ramada Plaza are so welcoming and kind natured that you feel pampered. Always ready to help if you need any. A plethora of food as per choices. The GM is a gem. Very down to earth. Thanks to the GM, Guru, Najmi, Dolly, Dinesh and all the staff for making our stay memorable. Without any doubt will come back.
